This grip is not expected to ease until 2026 when more liquefied natural gas (LNG) starts to materialise and lower prices, adding to supply worries for poorer states reliant on it to generate power and driving up costs for big Asia economies.

Norway to continue to deliver gas reliably to Europe, says PM

OSLO, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Norway, Europe's largest supplier of piped gas, can best help solve the continent's energy crisis by continuing to deliver gas reliably, Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Stoere said on Thursday. Gas prices lift Norway's August trade surplus to record

Norway PM to meet gas producers to discuss gas sales to Europe

Equinor, others apply for right to explore for oil and gas off Norway

OSLO, Sept 13 (Reuters) - Some 26 energy companies have sought Norway's permission to drill for oil and gas in this year's predefined areas licensing round, the Norwegian ministry for oil and energy said on Tuesday. Norway PM says cap on gas price won't solve Europe's shortage

Norway's oil, gas firms raise investment forecasts

OSLO, Aug 18 (Reuters) - Norway's oil and gas firms have raised their investment forecasts for 2022 and 2023 as they plan to explore more and develop new projects, a national statistics office (SSB) survey showed on Thursday. The country's biggest business sector now expects to invest 172.8 billion Norwegian crowns ($17.7 billion) in 2022, up from a forecast of 167.2 billion made in May, the SSB said.
