What do I do if my Expert Advisor (EA) isn’t working?

If your EA isn’t placing any trades, try following the steps below to fix the issue:

  1. 1. Check if trading is allowed on your terminal by going to ‘Tools’, selecting ‘Options’, clicking on the ‘Experts’ tab, and selecting ‘Allow Real Trading’
  2. 2. Check if the ‘Expert Advisor’ button on the main toolbar is on – a smiley face in the top-right corner of your chart indicates your EA has been installed correctly

If the smiley face is appearing but your EA still isn’t placing any trades, try checking your ‘Log Files’ by following the steps below:

  1. 1. Open your terminal and go to the ‘Experts’ tab
  2. 2. Check if any errors are occurring
