Armenian PM says Karabakh ceasefire is largely holding
Sept 21 (Reuters) -Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on Thursday that a ceasefire in Azerbaijan's ethnic Armenian-populated territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, where Azerbaijani troops this week routed local defence forces, was largely being observed, Russia's Interfax news agency reported.
"Units of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army remain in the places where they were at the time the truce was signed. The same applies to the Azerbaijani Armed Forces," Pashinyan was quoted as saying in a video address.
"Unfortunately, today an incident occurred in the vicinity of Stepanakert, but in general the truce remains, although sometimes there are violations," Pashinyan said.
The TASS news agency cited Pashinyan as saying Armenia was prepared to accept refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh.
