- Shares in Roman Abramovich's steel group Evraz EVRE.L , were suspended from trading on the London Stock Exchange LSEG.L after the Russian oligarch was placed under UK sanctions. Link

- The Bank for International Settlements said on Thursday it would cut off Russia's central bank from access to its "services, meetings and other BIS activities" in response to western sanctions on Moscow. Link

The Guardian

- Netflix Inc NFLX.O raised its prices for subscribers in the United Kingdom and Ireland, the streaming platform said on Thursday, in a bid to invest more in production of new shows and films. Link

- Tui TUIGn.DE on Thursday said it has cancelled a deal allowing the Russian oligarch Alexei Mordashov to use its name after the billionaire was hit by EU sanctions in response to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Link

- Lada on Thursday said it has been forced to halt production of cars after sanctions left the Russian brand unable to get enough parts. Link

- Marks & Spencer MKS.L on Thursday was accused of serving up "M&S fudge" as it appointed two co-chief executives, Stuart Machin and Katie Bickerstaffe, after boss Steve Rowe announced plans to quit. Link

- British energy bosses have urged UK Chancellor Rishi Sunak to provide new financial support to customers and businesses as the war in Ukraine threatens to deepen the energy crisis. Link

- Gannett GCI.N -owned Newsquest will close in on the takeover of rival Archant in a deal understood to be valued at just over 10 million pounds ($13.09 million). Link
