The United States backs a continental approach to clean energy that would see the U.S. and Canada working together on critical minerals and other resources to bolster security against threats such as the war in Ukraine, says U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. Link
French train maker Alstom SA ALSO.PA is locked in a dispute with Montreal-based Bombardier Inc. BBDb.TO over its purchase of the Canadian company's train business and wants the International Chamber of Commerce's International Court of Arbitration to settle the matter. Link
Investor advocates are criticizing Ontario's financial regulator for approving an industry association for financial professionals as one of the organizations whose certifications will allow people to use the titles "financial adviser" and "financial planner", saying the group doesn't have enough of a track record of oversight.
