GENERAL

Italy reported 59 coronavirus-related deaths on Thursday against 62 the day before, the health ministry said, while the daily tally of new infections fell to 1,968 from 2,897.

ECONOMY

Italy, Fitch rating agency scheduled reviews of sovereign debt rating.

ISTAT releases prospects for the Italian economy in 2021-2022 (0800 GMT).

Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco gives speech at "Green Swan 2021 Global Virtual Conference" (1300 GMT).

DEBT

Treasury announces sale of 12-month BOT bills, with relative amounts to be auctioned on June 9.

COMPANIES

GENERALI GASI.MI , INTESA SANPAOLO ISP.MI

Italy's biggest insurer has submitted a non-binding offer for the asset management arm of Dutch insurer NN Group, two sources close to the matter said on Thursday. The asset could be worth around 1.5 billion euros ($1.82 billion), one of the sources said.

Italy's largest bank has also made a non-binding offer for NN Group, a source close to the matter said adding the Italian lender was one of a series of bidders.

(*) Deutsche Bank's DBKGn.DE asset manager DWS, UBS UBSG.S , Allianz ALVG.DE and other international groups have expressed interest in NN Group, La Stampa reported.

GENERALI

Following Generali's takover offer for smaller domestic rival Cattolica CASS.MI , Fitch affirmed its 'A-' Insurance Financial Strength (IFS) rating. The outlook remain stable.

The board has rejected a proposal by Chief Executive Guido Bastianini to review a distribution agreement with asset manager Anima ANIM.MI , extending it for a further 15 years and making it exclusive, Il Messaggero said. The board's decision came as Italy's Treasury, the lender's largest shareholder, wants to avoid influencing the bank's ongoing sale process, the report said.

French telecoms group Iliad could sign a deal with Fibercop - a vehicle controlled by TIM which runs the group's secondary network in Italy, from street cabinets to homes - for its planned broadband launch in the country, daily Il Sole 24 ore said. Talks are ongoing, the report said, adding Iliad could co-invest with Fibercop as part of a possible deal.

The European Commission is set to launch an infringement procedure against Italy over a media law potentially curbing Vivendi's interests in the country, daily la Repubblica reported on Friday.

The Italian energy service group said on Friday it signed a deal to buy Naval Energies' floating wind business.

ATLANTIA ATL.MI (*) The infrastructure group is close to completing the sale of its 17.5% stake in Lusoponte, a Portuguese company running two bridges in Lisbon, as part of its strategy to divest from non-core assets, Il Sole 24 ore reported.

Atlantia said on Thursday that last week traffic on its Italian motorways grew 68% year on year, while passenger traffic at Rome airports it runs grew 488% compared to the previous year.

The holding company of Italy's Agnelli family, along with Israel's 7-Industries, has raised its stake in Danish robot maker of oil industry Welltec to 95%, MF said.

The luxury group announced on Thursday ongoing exclusive negotiations with Interparfums IPAR.PA to manage the worldwide license of Ferragamo brand perfumes.

DIASORIN DIAS.MI

FDA said Diasorin Liason SARS-CoV-2 TrimericS IgG test was acceptable for use in manufacture of COVID-19 convalescent plasma.

The Luxury yacht maker said on Friday it would start trading on the Milan Bourse on Tuesday at the price of 4.90 euros per share.

The group completed in the last weeks of May two tailor-made 'special sales' worth a total of 674,000 euros.

Fly Srl ends total voluntary takeover offer on Carraro ordinary shares.
