Top of the Street: Spectris, Scor, Euronext, Nestle
A round-up of notable broker activity this morning from Europe's top-ranked* analysts:
** J.P.Morgan raises British scientific instruments maker Spectris SXS.L to "neutral" from "underweight", as it believes earnings momentum will improve in the nearer term, given the recently announced acquisitions expected to close before Q3
** Citigroup cuts French reinsurer Scor SCOR.PA to "neutral" from "buy" citing significant uncertainty that the group faces on many fronts
** Goldman Sachs cuts pan-European stock exchange operator Euronext ENX.PA to "sell" from "neutral", as it sees consensus for 2024-2027 as demanding given it assumes sizeable acceleration in organic revenue growth yet slowing cost growth
** Jefferies raises Nestle NESN.S to "hold" from "underperform", saying the Swiss food giant's challenges are now better discounted in price and estimates after its H1 results
(*Analyst rankings from Thomson Reuters StarMine. The scale is from 1-star to 5-star with 5 being the best. Analysts are ranked on earnings accuracy as well as relative performance of recommendations over trailing 12-month & 24-month periods.)
