ISTANBUL, July 6 (Reuters) - Here are news, reports and events that may affect Turkish financial markets on Wednesday.
The lira TRYTOM=D3 traded at 17.00 against the dollar at 0415 GMT, little changed from Tuesday's close of 17.02.
The main BIST 100 share index .XU100 closed 1.55% lower at 2,371.25 points on Tuesday.
Asian stocks slipped and the dollar stood by a two-decade high on the euro on Wednesday as investors' fears deepened that the continent is leading the world into recession, while oil and European equity futures attempted to steady after a slide.
Brent crude futures LCOc1 bounced 1.4% in morning trade to $104.18 a barrel, nursing its wounds after a 9.5% drop to a 2-1/2 month low on Tuesday with worries that a global growth slowdown is going to sap demand. O/R
President Tayyip Erdogan hosts Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for talks at the presidential palace (0900 GMT), followed by a signing ceremony and a joint news conference (1115 GMT).

Turkish police used teargas and pepper spray to halt an LGBTQ+ Pride march in the capital Ankara on Tuesday, detaining at least 36 people after authorities banned such marches in cities across the country for security reasons.
Greece is open to engagement with Turkey, but Ankara should start 'playing by the rules', Greece's defence minister said on Tuesday.
