U.S. stock indexes rose by midday trading on Thursday as investors cheered passage of a bill by lawmakers to suspend the nation's debt ceiling amid bets that the Federal Reserve will skip raising interest rates in its next meeting. .N

At 13:32 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.57% at 33,096.79. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.91% at 4,217.7 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 1.15% at 13,084.641.
