- McKinsey & Co is close to reaching a settlement with state attorneys general over advice it gave to Purdue Pharma LP and other opioid manufacturers that have been targeted by states over their alleged role in fueling the nation’s opioid crisis, according to people familiar with the matter. Link
- Popular online brokerages restricted trading in highflying stocks including GameStop Corp GME.N and AMC Entertainment Holdings Inc AMC.N sapping some of the euphoria around shares of companies that individual investors have sent skyrocketing in recent days. Link
- Mondelez International Inc MDLZ.O said it is making investments to maintain the ground it gained on competitors last year as shoppers bought more of its snacks while they spent time at home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Link
- Both Mastercard Inc MA.N and Visa Inc V.N logged smaller declines in quarterly revenue than in recent periods, but the pandemic continued to spur weakness in cross-border spending. Link
