How a massive options trade by a JP Morgan fund can move markets

Top banks say London forex rigging case filed too late

HSBC to review Canary Wharf tower HQ, consider new London base

UK's Kwarteng tries to reassure bankers, gets nervous response

By William James, Huw Jones and Sinead Cruise LONDON, Sept 28 (Reuters) - British finance minister Kwasi Kwarteng sought to reassure investment bank executives on Wednesday the government had sound fiscal plans, in the face of a meltdown in British assets. Kwarteng laid out a so-called mini-budget last Friday that sent British bond markets and the pound into a tail-spin, prompting the Bank of England to say it would buy as much government debt as needed to restore financial stability.

JPMorgan doubles down on UK retail bank Chase

By Iain Withers LONDON, Sept 28 (Reuters) - Wall Street giant JPMorgan JPM.N is planning to double the size of its workforce at fledgling British retail bank Chase to at least 2,000 within two years, the CEO of the venture told Reuters, despite losses and some investor scepticism. JPMorgan said it had attracted one million customers and more than 10 billion pounds ($10.8 billion) of deposits to its UK mobile app bank since its launch last September.
