Italy says has now broadly met EU commitments on Monte Paschi ROME, March 27 (Reuters) - Italy is broadly in line with re-privatisation commitments agreed with the EU over bailed-out Monte dei Paschi di Siena BMPS.MI after the market placement of a 12.5% stake in the lender, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said on Wednesday. The Treasury sold the stake through an accelerated bookbuilding procedure (ABB) on Tuesday, pocketing 650 million euros ($703.11 million).
