** British autocatalyst maker Johnson Matthey JMAT.L is planning to sell its medical device components business as the company looks to streamline its portfolio of assets, Bloomberg News reported on Wednesday. nL4N37S4F7
** Mexican retail and bottling giant Femsa said on Wednesday it had reached a "definitive" agreement to sell its stake in Jetro Restaurant Depot for $1.4 billion, furthering its strategy to simplify its business, and sending its shares up. nL1N37S1FR
** The largest owner of IKEA stores has acquired supply chain software firm Made4Net as the Swedish furniture retailer plans a major expansion in the United States and aims to grow its online sales.
Ingka Group's investment arm Ingka Investments bought the company for an undisclosed sum, the company said. nL8N37R50O
** Franklin Resources Inc BEN.N, a global investment management firm that operates as Franklin Templeton, plans to acquire asset manager Putnam Investments from Great-West LifeCo Inc GWO.TO in a nearly $925 million deal. nL4N37S3CB
** London-based investment manager Lansdowne Partners LLP said it had agreed to acquire the $1.1 billion UK equities manager CRUX Asset Management, subject to regulatory approval, according to an investor letter seen by Reuters. nL8N37S378
** U.S. agribusiness giant Cargill said it is selling its poultry business in China to private equity firm DCP Capital, exiting a Chinese meat market that has become increasingly challenging, especially for foreign players. nL1N37S0DR
