- The Bank of England is facing its biggest test of credibility in 25 years of independence, according to its governor Andrew Bailey, who appeared before a Treasury select committee on Monday. Link

- The 595 million pound ($733.22 million) purchase of Stagecoach Group Plc SGC.L , Britain's largest bus company, by DWS DWSG.DE , a German group, is set to go through at the end of this week. Link
