POLITICS
Italy is preparing a new package of measures to help businesses and families cope with costly energy bills, which be unveiled as early as this week, government sources said.
ECONOMY
Italian companies are looking at the health of the banks they rely on in the wake of the current financial turmoil and turning more conservative over how they invest their cash, the head of the country's Association of Corporate Treasurers (AITI) said on Monday.

BANKS, INSURERS
Top Italian insurers Generali GASI.MI and Unipol UNPI.MI, as well as leading lenders Intesa Sanpaolo ISP.MI, UniCredit CRDI.MI, Banco BPM BAMI.MI, BPER EMII.MI, Monte dei Paschi BMPS.MI and Mediobanca MDBI.MI have zero or close to zero exposure to Credit Suisse's hybrid bonds which are being written off under the rescue deal, sources close to the matter said.

The Italian luxury sports car maker said on Monday that a hacker recently demanded ransom from the company related to certain client contact details, adding that the breach had no impact on the company's operations.

Industry-wide car sales in the European Union, Britain and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) grew by 12.2% to 902,775 units in February, the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA) said on Tuesday.
Last month, Stellantis' market share fell to 18.5% from 20.4% a year earlier.

Argentina's government announced on Monday a 180-day intervention in power company Edesur, which is controlled by Enel, after repeated blackouts in the Buenos Aires area affected households and businesses in the midst of summer heat waves.

The Italian post office could buy some assets of Cinven-owned Eurovita's life insurance portfolio, as part of a plan to rescue the Italian insurer placed under temporary administration, daily MF reported.

The Italian telecoms regulator AGCOM has approved the new tariffs on wholesale network rental, daily la Repubblica reported citing industry sources. The newspaper added the Italian authority would submit its decision to the European Commission for a prior assessment.
