ENERGY
Italy's regulated household electricity prices will fall by 55.3% in the second quarter from the previous three months, Italy's energy authority ARERA said in a statement on Thursday.
(*) Regulated gas prices are expected to show a fall of 10-12% in the upcoming update in April, ARERA's president Stefano Besseghini said.
ECONOMY
ISTAT releases January industry sales data (0800 GMT) and March flash CPI data (0900 GMT).

The Italian postal service provider drew an extra 4 billion euros into its savings products in the first quarter versus a year earlier, it said on Thursday, flows that could reduce the need to tap into its government bond portfolio at a loss.

The Italian insurer Unipolsai and lender BPER said on Friday they had entered into a strategic commercial partnership in long-term vehicle rentals.
INSURERS
Italy's insurance regulator IVASS said on Thursday the government had approved a decree to put Eurovita under special administration for 12 months, while also extending until June 30 a halt to the early redemption of its products.
Italian authorities are close to clinching a deal financed by insurers and banks including market leader Intesa Sanpaolo ISP.MI to rescue Eurovita, people familiar with the matter told Reuters.
M&A - ITA AIRWAYS
Italy's government said on Thursday negotiations were progressing with Germany's Lufthansa LHAG.DE over the sale of a minority stake in ITA Airways, after the two companies jointly approved the Italian carrier's industrial plan.
