UK Stocks-Factors to watch on April 27



April 27 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 index .FTSE is seen opening higher on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.26%.

* GSK: British drugmaker GSK GSK.L beat analyst expectations for its first-quarter profit and sales, ahead of the planned listing of its large consumer healthcare division in July, and stood by its forecasts for 2022.

* LSE: The London Stock Exchange Group said it was on track to meet all financial targets as it continued to integrate its $27 billion acquisition of data and analytics company Refinitiv.

* METRO BANK: British challenger lender Metro Bank MTRO.L said it was on track to deliver rising profits and achieve its strategic objectives after reporting first-quarter net loans and deposits at similar levels to the previous quarter.

* LLOYDS: Lloyds Banking Group LLOY.L reported better-than expected profits for the first three months of the year, as Britain's largest mortgage lender largely shrugged off the country's worsening cost of living crisis.

* TED BAKER: Ted Baker TED.L has received "a number" of proposals from potentially interested suitors, it said, after the British fashion retailer put itself up for sale earlier this month.

* PERSIMMON: Britain's second-largest homebuilder Persimmon PSN.L joined smaller rival Taylor Wimpey TW.L in dispelling inflation-led slowdown concerns as demand remained strong in an undersupplied housing market.

* WH SMITH: British retailer WH Smith SMWH.L reported a half-yearly profit following a recovery in sales and store footfall, helped by the easing of COVID-19 curbs and a recovery in global travel.

* BANK OF IRELAND: Bank of Ireland BIRG.I said that Chief Executive Francesca McDonagh would step down after five years in charge that saw the bank grow through acquisition, sharply cut staff numbers and almost fully return to private ownership.

* FTSE 100: London's FTSE 100 inched higher on Tuesday after a three-day sell-off, as resource and defensive stocks rose, while HSBC Holdings and Associated British Foods slid following earnings updates.
