UK Stocks-Factors to watch on Oct 19

Oct 19 (Reuters) - Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening higher on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 up 0.41%.

* CONSUMER PRICE INFLATION: Britain's annual rate of consumer price inflation inched higher to 10.1% in September, from 9.9% in August, the Office for National Statistics said.

* ASOS: British online fashion retailer ASOS ASOS.L reported an 89% drop in 2021-22 profit and forecast a first half loss in its new financial year.

* ANTOFAGASTA: Antofagasta ANTO.L said it expects copper production to be between 670,000 tonnes and 710,000 tonnes in 2023.

* MAN GROUP: UK fund manager Man Group Plc EMG.L reported a fall in its third-quarter assets under management (AUM).

* BUSINESS CONFIDENCE: Confidence among British businesses has dropped precipitously, damaged by a toxic combination of rising costs and economic turmoil, surveys showed on Wednesday.

* BT: The British Telecom BT.L pension scheme, lost around 11 billion pounds in assets in recent weeks, it said in its annual report on Tuesday.

* STRIKE: British railway workers union RMT set out plans on Tuesday for three days of strikes in early November.

* BRITISH AIRWAYS: British Airways is set to avoid a pilots' strike after the airline reached an agreement on the outline of a pay deal with the union.

* OIL: Oil prices rose in early Asian trade, paring losses from the previous session.

* GOLD: Gold inched lower as the dollar gained some ground, while the U.S. Federal Reserve's commitment to tightening its monetary policy also weighed on zero-yield bullion's appeal.

* METALS: Prices of base metals rebounded as traders found comfort in robust September U.S. factory production data.
