Oct. 6 (Reuters) - Britain's futures .FFIc1 were 0.60% lower on Wednesday.

* SHELL: The gas market has faced a "perfect storm" of cold weather, supply concerns and increased demand but it will stabilise eventually, an executive at Royal Dutch Shell RDSa.L said on Tuesday.

* REGULATIONS: Online video sharing platforms (VSPs), such as TikTok, Snapchat and OnlyFans, need to provide clear rules on content, allow users to flag harmful videos, and restrict access to pornographic material, Britain's media regulator Ofcom said.

* WAGE: UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will announce a rise in the minimum wage within weeks, as he pledges to end the "broken" model of a low-wage, low growth economy, The Times newspaper reported.

* ECONOMY: More British manufacturers plan to raise their prices than at any other point in the past three decades, according to a survey that added to signs of growing inflationary pressure in the world's fifth biggest economy.

* INFLATION: British finance minister Rishi Sunak said most of the pressures pushing up inflation were likely to be transitory, echoing comments earlier on Tuesday by Prime Minister Boris Johnson.

* GOLD: Gold prices fell, pressured by a firmer dollar and U.S. Treasury yields, while investors focused on U.S. non-farm payrolls data that would be crucial to the Federal Reserve's schedule for tapering support.

* OIL: U.S. oil prices rose for a fifth day to their highest since 2014 amid global concerns about energy supply on signs of tightness in crude, natural gas and coal markets.

* The UK blue-chip index .FTSE closed 0.9% higher as signs of a recovery saw investors piling into economically sensitive sectors, with energy stocks rising as oil prices hit three-year highs.
