At 1506 GMT, the rand traded at 18.8250 against the dollar ZAR=D3 , up over 0.7%, while the dollar =USD was last trading 0.25% weaker against a basket of global currencies.

At 0646 GMT, the rand traded at its previous close of 18.9600 against the dollar ZAR=D3 , while the dollar =USD was last around 0.1% weaker against a basket of global currencies.

At 1500 GMT, the rand traded at 18.8425 against the dollar ZAR=D3 , around 0.7% stronger than its previous close.
