XM donated to the Malala Fund in support of their efforts to give girls around the world access to education. Over 130 million girls around the world are denied the chance to receive an education. The reasons are many: poverty, war and child labor in addition to gender discrimination and early marriages.
The work of the Malala Fund extends to improving access to education at local, national and international level around the world. Their mission is to ensure as many girls as possible have access to 12 years of free, safe and quality education.
The non-profit organization was co-founded by Malala Yousafzai, the Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate and her father, Ziauddin. It supports 58 advocates working across Afghanistan, Brazil, Ethiopia, India, Lebanon, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey.
XM social responsibility initiatives are connected by an overarching goal to help make the world a better place. We support a number of organizations across the globe whose goal is to help or improve the lives of the less fortunate, those in need and to provide equal opportunities to as many people as possible.
