UK Stocks-Factors to watch on May 24
May 24 (Reuters) -Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index is seen opening lower on Wednesday, with futures FFIc1 down 0.4%.
* ASTON MARTIN: Aston Martin's Formula One engine partnership with Honda from 2026 will not affect ties to Mercedes on the road car side, according to the team's CEO of performance technologies Martin Whitmarsh.
* M&G: Climate-focused Regenerate Asset Management said larger British peer M&G MNG.L will invest up to 150 million euros ($165.12 million) in the firm's inaugural fund and take an equity stake in the company.
* CMA: Britain's government said on Tuesday it would be ready to act when a Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) review of food and fuel pricing was ready.
* OIL: Oil prices gained over $1 on Wednesday after U.S. inventories and fuel supplies tightened and as a warning from the Saudi energy minister to speculators raised the prospect of further OPEC+ output cuts.
* GOLD: Gold prices moved in a narrow range on Wednesday after another round of talks on U.S. debt ceiling ended with no deal, while investors awaited minutes of the Federal Reserve's last policy meeting to gauge the path forward for interest rates.
* British equities fell on Tuesday as uncertainties surrounding a U.S. debt ceiling deal dented sentiment, while Burberry slipped, tracking wider declines across European luxury stocks.
