G7 finance chiefs meeting in Italy this week will attempt to find common ground over how to use frozen Russian assets to help Ukraine's war effort and how to address China's growing export strength in key markets, officials said.

Treasury announces the sale of BTP Short and BTPei bonds, with relative amounts to be auctioned on May 28.


COMPANIES

The Italian energy group is mulling a sale of a 20% stake in its sustainable mobility unit Enilive as it received expressions of interest from potential suitors, Bloomberg News said citing people familiar with the matter. Italian daily Corriere della Sera said on Thursday the potential suitors include U.S. fund BlackRock, Canada's Brookfield, and Australia's Ifm and Macquarie.

The automaker announced on Thursday the launch of the second tranche of its 2024 buyback programme, covering an amount of up to 1 billion euros. The second tranche will start on May 23 and end no later than Aug. 30, the company said.

The Treasury is considering the sale of up to 16% of the bank via an accelerated placement and also through a direct sale, Italian daily Il Sole 24 ore said on Thursday, citing sources.

The TV group controlled by Italy's Berlusconi family reported a 21.8% annual increase in its operating profit in the three months through March as advertising revenue rose in its Italian and Spanish markets.

The Italian shipbuilder will expand its cooperation with Saudi Arabia through its new unit Fincantieri Arabia, the group said on Wednesday.

Salini S.p.A placed an offering of 225 million euros secured bonds due 2028 with a 4% coupon, exchangeable into Webuild ordinary shares.

Rating agency Moody's placed the group on review for a downgrade of all ratings and assessments saying the review will primarily focus on implications of Bank of Italy's recent findings and remediation measures. The central bank ordered earlier this month the group to halt dividend and bonus payments over potential misclassification of credits.


JUVENTUS JUVE.MI

The Italian soccer club is set to appoint Bologna's Thiago Motta as its new coach, according to multiple Italian media reports.

Juventus Women have appointed Massimiliano Canzi as new manager for next season, as they look to get back to winning league titles, the club announced on Wednesday.
