Adds background and context in paragraphs 2-7

April 5 (Reuters) -New Zealand's Fletcher Building FBU.NZ said on Friday its Group Chief Financial Officer Bevan McKenzie has decided to resign and will leave the company on Oct. 4.

McKenzie has been with the company since 2014 and was appointed CFO in November 2016.

The construction services provider had previously announced the exit of two of its top executives.

In February, Fletcher said its CEO Ross Taylor would retire in six months, while Chairman Bruce Hassall was to step down later this year as part of a board renewal review.

The company had appointed the chief of its concrete division Nick Traber as the acting CEO last month.

Fletcher swung to a loss in the first half and has warned of a weaker 2024 as it faces a cost blowout in the construction of the New Zealand International Convention Centre.

It has also denied accusations it supplied defective pipes in Western Australia that resulted in serious plumbing leaks.
